400 chicks sold in 3 hrs. UPDATE post 10: Paper interested in story!

You guys have inspired me!!!

I went to our local feed store (Concord Feed ) wearing my BYC University Hoodie and introduced myself to the store manager. Super nice guy who said, "Ya, you guys came out of nowhere like a year and a half ago!"

I asked if I could put up a bumper sticker and he said, "Sure, why not on the inside of each chick brooder."

I was so excited, I took a pic:

Thanks for the inspiration!!!

BTW, he also wanted to know if they could be involved in something like a local BYC Chickenstock! You guys should reach out to local feed stores and see if they'll let you put up a bumper sticker (or 4) and if they want to sponsor a local get together. Doesn't hurt to ask.

Do we get a t-shirt if we get ourselves in the paper? How 'bout a bumper sticker? I'm already trying to get the junior high science classes to build incubators...

Absolutely! We'll work something out! We're working on an official program to encourage people to get BYC in the news and to get stickers / posters put up at feed stores and will keep you posted.

The more I think about it, the more I like the idea of using bumper stickers (adhesive or magnetic). They will last much longer than anything printed, they look nice, and we already have them in stock.

If you guys have ideas on programs, rewards, etc. it would be great to hear them.

Jenn, sorry for hijacking your thread.

That is AWESOME!!! Our local feedstore, which used to be a hatchery, no longer sells chicks. They haven't for many years and have no desire to

so instead they refer every call to me. I in turn refer everyone that asks about chicks to BYC so they can learn as much as they can before they pick them up. It's a win/win!!!

I hope you post your interview - that is fantastic!!!!
