You'd be amazed how easy it is to find a supplier of chicks locally. I grew up in Illinois and know there were somewhat easy to find. Since you are in Ohio, it should be pretty easy to find a supplier.

Check around on your local Craig's List. There's usually some breeders or hatcheries to be found closer to home where you can go directly to them to purchase your chicks. Then there are always the local feed stores, especially this time of year. But ask before you buy if these are straight run (meaning there will be cockerels in the bunch) or if they are pullet runs. Especially if you can't have roosters in your flock where you live.
