You need to get the SOP ( Standard of Perfection) for whichever variety of the breed you are showing. Sometimes your local library will have copy of the American Poultry Association Standard of Perfection or the American Bantam Association Standard of Perfection. You can also contact the breed club for your particular breed. Most of them have online sites for their club.Hi, I have some silkie chickens and would love for the kids if theyre interested to do 4h and show them. I am a complete newbie to this whole process. What am I looking for when looking at the chicken to tell if it is show quality? And what features make it show quality versus pet quality. Thanks so much! I'll attach a picture of one of my roosters.
