I may be able to help with Iowa Blue. It wouldn't be many because I promised a shipment to Debs_flock.

I did this the last few years and it was fun! I think  I had the runner up chick out after midnight last year. I am not sure if I will do it this year - waiting to see just what kind of winter it is shaping up to be here (upstate ny). Really hate brooding chicks in the house anymore! =)

Awwwww, C'mon! You know you wanna! Apparently, a box, some plastic wrap and a light is all it takes!

Hey there Wingstone! YAY for PA hatchers! I hope you find the breeds you're looking for, when the swap gets up and going you may get them! I'll bet after the Ohio National.

Anyone wanna send me some eggs for this hatch? My chickens havent been laying that good for the past week. ive only been getting 2 eggs a day... i have like 17 hens to. They are all molting or starting to molt. soo. Any help would be greatly Apprieciatted!

I haven't tried winter hatching yet either.  I've done Thanksgiving and February but not when the eggs are freezing right out of the hen !  I'm going to try it!   I'm just north of you BTW

I have a spare room that I hatch and brood my chicks in. My granddaughter and I set 18 eggs last night for a trial run. I won a 6 month GFM last year was closest to number of eggs hatched.we are turning half the garage into chicken space so we can add about 90 more birds in the spring. Good luck to all.
