Well, got my eggs in time for the hatch, so looks like I'll be joining after all!

I'll be setting 18 serama eggs. They are booted, silkied, frizzled, and smooth, so all feather types found in seramas!

Guess who just started Laying a couple days ago? My Silkie!! There pullett eggs and they are fertilized(more than likely.) and i've read that you can hatch pullett eggs! So woohooh! She has been laying for 4 days now, She hasn't missed a day! So now i will have some silkie eggs for my hatch. If they hatch they will be beautiful. The Daddy is and EE/Ameraucana. He is my profile pic. But that was about 4-5 months ago when i took that. But still!!! Im so excited!!!

That is one darling little chick! It looks like I missed the fun of the hatching, but watching the chick move around is exciting too. Congrats!!!


My NYD eggs from D. Horstman came this afternoon - those are some big honkin' huge eggs, sheesh. lol None of them were broken and only 1 air cell looks wonky, the rest appear to be a-okay. I have more eggs that were supposed to be here yesterday, and not here yesterday or today and the tracking info hasn't updated at all in three days so...it's not looking good for those

What kind of eggs do you have? I got chicks from him this summer.

Im sorry you dont have eggs, you have alot of hens and roos listed and you still have till tuesday Im sure you can get a few eggs from them by then

. Only four of our hens are laying and three are brown egg layers and I can't get any fertile eggs out of them for some odd reason.

I Have tried EVERYTHING/all sorta lights to candle Maran eggs!!!

GRRRRRRR someone please please tell me a secret!!!! frustrating!!!

You need to get yourself a good friend who is an X-ray tech,

I don't think anything will penetrate Maran eggs??!!

This is sapose to be the next step down but still really good .. I havent found anyone that has tried that one eather , I wnt to try one of those really bad lol I love candleing seeing the babies move and the heartbeats

Live video cut out on me!!! I won't have anything hatching for another week! I want to watch your's, lol. Their siblings will be hatching out in another week and a half. Speaking of which, how long do your's typically take to hatch? I've been hearing 18-20 days.

I just reiceved the best shipped eggs ever.  First of all, I purchased 12+ and reiceved 17!  Each eggs was wrapped in nearly 3 layers of bubble wrap with newpaper surrounding them. It didn't stop there, that box was then placed into a much bigger box packed with newpaper, bags and bubble wrap, you couldn't ask for better packaging!  When I candled, 15 perfect air cells, and 2 slightly dislocated air cells.  I have never reiceved eggs in this good of condition before.

That's impressive! I would love to know who you got the eggs from. I wonder if they have anything I'd be interested in. Hmmm....

If your talking about my video feed I took the babies into the brooder and will bring the camra back online after the other eggs start piping or doing something cuase there are no more pips right now.
I turn the hot water in the shower on full and fun the shower and the heater cranked up on high for about 5 minutes ( i have a tiny bathroom) then I unplugg the bator take it into the bathroom and quickly scoop the babies out or what not , Normally I dont want to mess with them but the last time I sent the bator to brinsea to fix they didnt give me the water cover back and Im afriad a silly baby will drown them selves in there. For my next hatch I will find a way to cover that befor I set eggs.
