4th Annual BYC NYD Hatch-a-long

Snow means cold and frozen hoses and frozen waterers and frozen toes and frozen fingers and diesels not wanting to start and...

LOL, well I've never lived in the snow, so what do I know, other than it looks so pretty, and I'm sick of the heat. Knowing my luck, I'd end up having aching bones as well

Hope it doesn't get too darn cold for the animals

I just moved to California from Alaska. It isn't the snow that gets you, it is the razor slicing cold that really gets you. Alaska is considered a desert environment and the temps can freeze the nose right off your face!! We actually *looked forward* to snow because that meant the weather was warming up!!

Enjoy your warm friendly snow!!!

Hey everyone! I'm just finishing up my research paper on "Broody hens vs. Incuabtors" and I need an attenion leaver. I want to descirbe the beauty, and how amazing it is to witness the miracle of a chick hatching, though I can't seem to come up with anything good, any ideas? I'm not the best with words... By the way, the essay just barely made the 8 page minimum, yes! hahaha.

So, do any of my fellow hatchaholics have any ideas?

Ugh. Its snowing.
I have always loved snow until today, which happened to be my first day driving in it. I was driving to the post office to pick up my eggs when suddenly my brake pedal wouldn't push down and it started vibrating and making a loud cranking sound. I pulled off to the side of the road terrified only to have to my dad tell me that it's perfectly normal and it's just the anti lock brakes. I have never heard of anti lock brakes before today, you would think that they would teach that in drivers ed. Either way, I was terrified, I was sure my brakes went out and that I (and my eggs) were doomed, hahaha.
