4th Annual BYC NYD Hatch-a-long

A bit late to the party, but wondering by any chance if there is anyone in the SE Ohio area (Marietta-Athens-Nelsonville) or western WV (Parkersburg) who has 4-6 hatching eggs that I might buy and drive to pick up in time to set for the hatch-along? I would love to get a few silkies, ameraucanas, marans, or easter eggers if possible. If so, please email me. Otherwise I am setting eggs from production red sex-link hens by a beautiful BO roo.
Thanks and happy hatching everyone!

msladyhawke --What did you get?? (It is really fun to hear what breeds everyone is setting)

I got mine today also - BlueCM Roo, several hens incl Ameraucana & BCM (which I think most of the eggs are as they are choc.).

Just a question for yall.If i left my eggs in the egg carton to hatch would that be okay? my first hatch was terrible, they all made it to lookdown most internally pipped but died before they could hatch. So i was wondering if i leave them up if they would have a easier time hatching?

OMGoodness!!! I am so addicted to byc and this forum.Just cant get enough. LOL!!My dear husband gets a little upset with me cause all my spare time im on here.
On another note walmart has a 1000 lumen lcd maglite flashlight i want.I bet you could see in the darkest eggs with it. Or a Ovascope. :) Santa told me to keep dreaming. :( lol!!!

For the NYD hatch, I'm doing pekin ducks, cornish cross under leghorns (or at this point, possibly Ameraucana) and leghorn. Oh, and at least one EE egg (silkie/ameraucana pullet under an ameraucana).

I've got tons of others cooking away though, including the above, serama and next week will be more coturnix quail, then at some point OEGB and paint silkies. :D
