I'll transfer my grocery store eggs over to it as soon as I get it stabilized tonight. Yippeee! Goodbye you icky hovabator!

Sounds like you need some Muscovies..they are very quite. ; ) The only con with the Calls is they are very noisy, but so cute.

We just set 40 Silkie eggs from CJ's Silkies and 30 Silkie eggs from our own chickens! Silkie babies are the cutest.

Yes, yes they are. Just watch thier heads and be super careful witht he babies. I had to start putting them on their owns, other chicks would peck at them and they would keel over.

My new bator won't be here until Wednesday!! And my current one is full!!! Waaaahhh!! That means it will be Thursday before I can put eggs in. Poohy!!

Quick question about the chick hatching and a atomic clock to show time of hatch with wet chick. Would a cell phone showing the time be acceptable for this photo or just like 2 separate pics one of the chick and one of the atomic clock from the contest link?

This got answered, but yes cell is good. I am useing my pad for time and my phone for pictures.

Well my one batch never made it here safely everything was cracked and my other batch I was going to pick up Monday morning has a Brody hen on themmy friend said she went broody on her so she let her suit on them to get them started lol was about a three day head start so I now have nothing for the hatch I'm so sad I was really looking forward to hatching with everyone

You are still good, post the picture of the broody! Mrheinz has a broody contest and for the FIRST TIME THIS YEAR I dont have one. I have adveraged 2 girls on eggs all year, but my last 2 have chicks now and no one else was intersted. I so wanted in on that contest, im a sad panda.

I think there are several broodies going out there.

Make one out of a cooler or something just to practice.

A feather legged blue Cayuga, how interesting. I think I remember seeing a post about him. : ) I have Buff Orpingtons, Magpies, Runners, Pekins, a couple mixed ducks, and some others in my flock (what do you call a herd of ducks??). Who knows what the ducklings will look like. The sad part is I will probably be selling just about everything I hatch.

How exciting! Is this there first? My sister is due in mid June with her 3rd and last, but they don't know what they are having yet.
