Wow

This started on the 14th? Man, if I had known. I set some little barnyard mixes on the 14th..too late for me? I will go enter anyway, see what happens.
Well, one is NOT a barn yard mix. The guy I got the eggs from has Nankins. He gave me one egg..free.

Hope it's fertile!

My 7...

My old, very old, very first old, incubator. I just sold all of my other
bators. I needed to slow down! I just love baby chicks! Kept my
older one here. Had a 100% hatch in that thing! I was just going to
give a try after not having used it for incubating to see if it would give
me a few..12 out of 12..an old still bator. Just trying it out!

Now, hoping these will work.
I want a couple of good LF egg layers. The Nankin? I've hatched them
before, not sure I will keep it if it hatches though. Ahem..yes, I have
weights in there! And yes, they are paper punches. I got rid of most of
my craft things too..but these worked well to keep that darn wire down.
I didn't want to poke holes in it with something to hold it down..so, this works.

Good Morning everyone.
What our chicken eggs are doing-Day 5:

From-Egg-to-Chicken-5.jpg

Many complex physiological processes take place during the change from the egg to the chick. They include the use of highly nutritious food materials in the egg; the respiration of gases, or the taking in of oxygen and the removal of carbon dioxide and the building of living energy within the chick.

Fifth day -- formation of reproductive organs and differentiation of sex

I just went out the garage and found 7 of my biggest koi dead... Water was is pristine condition, no signs of bacterial incfection, no parasites, no fugal infections, these fish look perfectly healthy other than the fact that they were dead. Only 3 of the koi that were in the garage are still here... These are expensive fish and I'm heartbroken, not to mention that I have no idea what killed them. Sorry that this has nothing to do with chickens or hatching, but this thread is a great place with lots of people who care.

losing animals is the hardest, at least you still have three!

If someone gets time, can we please add a THANK YOU THREAD so we can all post our thoughts for all you elves and all the donators helpers and such too????
If nobody else wants to I will :)
