BEAUTIFUL Goose!! but OMG DH would HAVE MY HEAD ON A FRIGGEN platter.. I dont have a pond, we are blessed to have 2 acres in the beautiful blue mnts but with that is no pond. I couldnt imagine such a big bird on its feet all day not swimming so beautifully.... When I win the lottery I will BUILD an acre POND Avaiary!!! and ohhhh I will hang my swing in there so I can sit and watch and rock and sighhhhhhhhhhh
they are fine!! look at when they hatch they rock and roll each other and all the eggs!!! gets them all stimulated.... BUT DONT DO IT ON PURPOSE LOLOK guys I feel really guilty I was moveing my bator around a little so I could see all the eggs from all angles (its a mini eco so tiny easy to move dome lid) and I acidently rolled a couple eggs into a new postion. Will that effect the babies do you think. Still just two pips so far.![]()

they actually swim very little and kiddie pools are we offer them here (other than when the pasture floods)
can you hang a damp rag from the side or top or anything???My goodness there have been a lot of post since the last time I was on. I was 70 pages behind, got caught up on 20, but then started getting behind again and gave up. I have 9 chicks out so far. I didn't get to mess with the humidity last night or put the eggs in a hatching tray so they stayed in egg stacking egg trays and where running around on the bottom of the incubator. The humidity was only at 15% so I am suprised they were able to hatch. I have it up to 35% now but not sure I can get it much higher. I may have to help some if they get stuck. I hope they hatch well but I don't have my hopes up too high.
oh Celtic!!!! darn it!! he ran early this am to mill to get this huge bag of unmedicated!!! darn!! ok.... is there a purina for waterfowl??? if so which kind for chicks??? so should I use the purina starter medicated and just save this for later???food is fine, they dont need it right away. By the way the medicated verse unmedicated isnt a big a deal now as long ago (change in medication used in the feed)
dont forget waterfowl need more niacin than chickens or can develop leg issues. If not feeding a waterfowl feed/starter be sure to offer brewers yeast or niacin in the water or sprinkled on the food.
Quote: ME TOO ME TOO!!! do you sell eggs? DID I JUST ASK THAT!!! I hate shipped bantam eggs!! they are all messed up till I get them!!!!
Quote: brewers yeast is not like yeast for baking. Niacin pills can be found at walgreens, cvs, walmart.... yes the 2nd is fine. Find non flush niacin and sprinkle across the food.
the starter you have is FINE, no need to worry. Purina owns mazuri feed who makes a waterfowl starter and maintenance, but chick starter (with added niacin is FINE) and then an all flock feed
