I'd like to win something for once, but in all honesty I don't care if I do or not. The only thing I want is for my four little seramas to hatch. I haven't checked on them in a bit, but I don't think they're even pipped.

Yup, and thank you Bhep, my two chicks are so adorable! I'm so glad the frizzle egg hatched. I know I still have a 50/50 chance but that's so cool!

LOL..of course, that means you "get" to wait up until then, watch it hatch, at the same time you are celebrating by banging on the pan outside your front door to make noise for bringing the new year in.
That's what I do..I have banged on pans since I was a kid. A fun tradition, makes a great noise, and oh, of course, the yelling of Happy New Year!

We did that too! LOL. I'm a little afraid to do that tonight, as we have so many chicks in the brooder...... but I doubt I can stop the kids

Has anyone else ever noticed how bad the Aquafina water bottles are, they s**k. One of the expensive brand and the stupid bottle don't stand up right. Funny thing is I work for the same company that owns them, but a different part. Can you quess? Whoever gets it right will get 6 + mystery eggs in the spring or sooner (when weather breaks) go I will run this for 2 hours and give my answer at 10:30 PM.

All the way out. I have one that is still in the egg curled up, no top, I don't think it is going to make it.
We had homegrown ham for Christmas dinner YUM YUM. We grew 2 pigs, this was our first time, how about you.

First - I voted ! There were not so many entries as I expected, but they were all good. Everyone here is so good at taking these animal pics. It is on my list to work on that this new yr so I can share cute pics too

Second - Oh The Pigs . Sorry but how we got into having pigs actually is a 45 min. story complete with gestures and sound effects and only works for in person telling, but if any of you BYC folk ever meet me in person w/ 45 min. to kill, ask for "The Pigs For Firewood Story". As for the pig in the oven, that too is a long one and includes a very large Bear and the not insignificant scar on my arm! Yes, our little homestead/mirco farm has been quite the adventure. We currently have 3 pigs, one headed to the freezer soon, as well as 2 we hope to breed this yr; our new sow (replacing the above listed ham) & this year's Rex (Rex III to be specific, you know King for a yr gets all the good stuff, food & girl pig, then it is off to freezer camp and a new Rex becomes King for a year).

UNDATE -- nothing yet in the bator but the exact same eggs doing nothing : ( 10:55 pm

This is our lonely only chick, cheering on the one other sort of hatching egg. The chick keeps chirping, but doesn't get any replies!

We have a homegrown ham in the oven as I type - a 50# one barely fit!
I gotta say when I saw the photo my first thought was , oh no, don't hurt the beautiful trunk.
on the flip side, if you use it a lot maybe making it into a brooder will be nice too, but maybe you coluld make a brooder that fits inside it, w/o harming the original trunk, just in case you ever want to switch it back to other uses??

Update - zero activity in my bator, it isn't looking good ppl. & Ron, I am now having that something to relax -- Frangelica an entire shot, I will loose all ability to type soon...unless the chaser cup of coffee works...

Ok here is me panicing softly about my poss. entry into worst hatch rate, not the contest any of us want to enter...

I still don't have any activity either and it's kinda starting to worry me.
