We use equine pine bedding.Hello folks, I have a question. What is the best shavings or pellets to use for new chicks ? (For the floor)My brother uses aspen. I have used pine. I have always heard not cedar because of the aromatics are bad for the respiratory system in chickens? What do you guys use? Thanks mrs
The eco looks so big, isn't it? It looks like it would hold 18 eggs, no?7 for the advance think its ten for the eco. i couldnt imagine ten orp eggs and chick in one![]()
I just use pine, then I put paper towel over that because the chicks seem to be able to move around better on it, then after about a week or so, it's pretty dirty, I take it away, and they have fresh pine underneath. They don't seem tempted at that point to try and eat it either. a bit if pine always finds it's way to the surface of the paper towel but never any troubleHello folks, I have a question. I think he is adorable but then I like snakes and lizards.
I am using aspen, because I have them in the same room as my Sugar Gliders, and the Sugar Gliders can't be around pine... the pine oil is toxic to them.right, no cedar! pine shavings is what I use.![]()
