4th Annual BYC NYD Hatch-a-long

Not one of my Large Fowl eggs have hatched. Welsummers, BC Marans AND BLRW...not one. The Bantams hatched. Not sure what I did wrong here.
Patience Blarney, only 1 of my incubators have anything hatching so far, the second incubator is just now starting to show a few pips, guess temps are a little off in that one.....

Thanks Wing. We did give all the LF a sniff and a tap last night, pulled out one stink bomb and heard not one peep in the rest. I'll try to be patient, gotta get dog to vet, that should keep my mind off the bator.

When I went to bed last night I had 2 BCM that had hatched...this morning there are 5 (I think). It's really hard to see in there. My early christmas present was a new brinsea cabinet incubator and when you put the lids on the hatching trays - its really hard to see!!!!

I still wasn't expecting anything at all until later today since they were set on the 12th at 8PM - so here's to hoping I still have a great hatch!!!

Oh thats bad I hate when i get just one!! Shipped is always so low hatch well a few ppl say they arent but most are. She will be spoiled as you say ...however you COULD check Craigs or chicken swap on facebook in your town and see if anyone has a new chiick for sale to be friends with.....An option anyway
We live 70 miles from the nearest real town, so she'll just be my house chicken. Still no other pips. This is only our second time hatching and our first using a commercial incubator. The first time it was a styro cooler (we called it the Beer'bator) that the kids and I converted. We had an 80% hatch rate, but the eggs only traveled a quarter of a mile, not from Tennessee to Oregon. Thanks for your encouragement! We will just have to try again! :)

The newest little one hatching has an unusual beak. The bottom is longer than the top by a mm or two... Will it get better or worse as the chick grows? If it does get worse, is it still compatible with life??

Glad to hear I'm not the only one in PA with slowness....or in my case STILL NOTHING!!! I'm beyond frustrated....
