WELL! Now that you mention it....the whole system I am using right now is a complex working of micro processors and programming that should yield a product for people with home made incubators or even nice incubators but failed or lacking temp/humidity sensors. This is test run # 1 and test run #2 will be the hatch along! It will tell you temp, humidity in real time, allow you to set the range for both. It will also send you alerts when you go outside that safe range (email and working on text), and will run up to 4 incubators at the same time. I am also going to see about integrating oxygen sensors and a movement detection sensor to alert you to when your eggs might begin to hatch. If all goes well I will be employing kickstarter to begin taking orders for beta models to go out to a select few customers. WE SHALL SEE!!!

So, tomorrow I'll be setting pure RIR, BA/RIRs, and a couple of Freddie's eggs. (I hope they're her's anyway) I think Freddie is way past the age when hens stop laying. She showed up in the yard one day and I never questioned how old she could be since dad liked her coloring. I have a feeling she came from our neighbor up the road, but I found out from his daughter that he tends to kick any non-laying hens out and let's them wander off. That means she has EE and OE genes along with BR, Leghorn, and who knows what else. Those EEs and OEs originally came from pure breeds (way back when I was a kid) and just threw whatever in with them.

Sounds exciting! Hope it all goes well for you!

I have 11 from the swap, 18 from a side swap, and I'll set some of my own, too :) I'll probably fill the bator up... 2 boxes are due to come in tomorrow, here's hoping they're here before noon!

Wait- if people can wait until after work, could I wait until all my eggs get here tomorrow? Mail carrier usually comes between 1 and 3 PM. I just won't rest the eggs....?
