I bought some eggs from dmrippy about a week ago . All arrived intact and was well packaged. I candled them today and all are fertile. Thanks mrs. Donna.

Pardon my ignorance (I know all the questions get annoying), but there don't seem to be any entrant photos in the Broody Photo contest thread. As much as I would like to believe that I have no competitors and the prize is all mine precious,my luck just doesn't roll that way .

Should I also post a photo here in the main photo to be entered into the contest?

The theme for the evening was waiting, home made incubators, incubator help and making room in the bator for members having bator problems.
Then the digest was posted!

gamebirdsony stopped by to tease us about joining the hatch. Who could resist so much fun!

Shelshanam has crafty hens that hid their eggs! She would hatch them but does not want to incur the wrath of Kahn Broody hens.

Mrs. Fluffy Puffy wants Emu eggs to hatch, or shelshanam to hatch them for her. Aspen posted(2894) her Daily Chocolate Fix--Duck picture. Later in the
evening we started coming up with names for the Chocolate colored Duck. Is that the contest?

Gamebirdsonly joined and will be hatching very old eggs along with Banty Wellsummer eggs! Then, amazingly, the swap eggs were delivered!

TMNfarm posted broody Mom pictures with many little heads popping up out of the Hens feathers! Post 2900 is very touching! Have a tissue near by.

Ebay has an amazing hatching find from a Storage auction. Huge incubators and some sportsmans. BYCrs are headed there right now! Post 2934

We stopped for a moment of silence and prayer for the shooting victims.

Shelshanam, the person with the Houdini hens that escape and hide eggs had them escape again! Time for an Easter Egg Hunt! Also, Shelshanam asked about tetris stacking hatching eggs.
Duck discussion: some are for eggs. Some are dual purpose. Some are wanted for meat.
Razadia has hot water problems but the girls are laying more and the bator is filled with Serama eggs. Then there were a lot of posts about contests, not seeing development, encouragement and etc.

Mrheinz77 asked if he was fired because of the contest confusion. No! Wingstone gave him a time out however.

Hurley gave Kudos to anyone that can keep up with this thread! How about putting together a digest of over 300 posts in a day!

Holy crap. I just realized how many eggs I set for the NYD hatch. Is anyone else hatching WAAAAYYYY more eggs than they had originally planned?! I went from thinking that I'd have a dozen or two dozen eggs to actually setting 70 eggs.

I did the same thing. I was thinking maybe 12 . 24 max and ended up setting 80 eggs!!!

I live in San Jose 8 min from downtown. On 1/2 acre. I'm guessing you have more space. I really have no business owning this thing.

And what did Mr.Heinz do?

Mr Heinz remembered buttons at 18 days. Or didn't remember them. To be air I posted they were at 16 days and didn't update anywhere. I think its my fault. I blame it on my pathological fear of button eggs. I have had terrible luck with them even my girls won't lay.

I need to give credit where credit is due. You all deserve an award for putting up with me. Crazypetlady, Mstricer, Chiqita, Coldupnorth, and KYTinpusher (I'm probably missing somebody) are part of my cabinent. They truely deserve the adult beverage of their choice for putting up with me behind the scenes.

He has these tiny tiny tantrums like an Englishman. I imagine him with a little post it he holds up that says " I'm miffed" . Then he solves everything. You can tell what an exceptional teacher he is.

Either way. We accept all photos of broodies we are greedy. Unless Mr Heinz tell You otherwise.

All my freeranging chickens are on the back porch. Someone tell them they can't come in.
