DUCK INCUBATION questions......

Its now day 12 I think... should I be doing ANYTHING different at all than the chicken eggs in the bator??

I do dry hatch method.... keeping humidity 28% - 40 depending on weather and then I do 60-62% lockdown.

Should I be misting or cooling them or anything?????

PLEASE SOMEONE who can help me hatch these cute things I would sooooo appreciate it!!

I am using an older model of Sportsman to incubate mine in. There is a plastic bucket on a shelf at the top of the incubator where you put the water. I just keep it filled and make sure the temp is at 100....I do not measure humidity only temperature, however I'm not certain how waterfowl eggs will do using a dry hatch method? I like to keep them as 'moist' as possible. Just my $0.02

Normals sell for 75-100 a pair never 200 each. Hubby is setting nest boxes in the aviary tomorrow and will gladly sell any ducks produced this year. they are just for us to enjoy watching.

Wish we had Emu's in the bator right now too! We should be getting our emu eggs in the next couple of weeks.

Shellie, STOP!!! What are you trying to do?? Get me into SERIOUS trouble!!! *thinks to self...humm...my three Sportsman were used for Emu eggs...I need to test at LEAST a incubator full of them....right?*

Are you hatching some out to sell or keep? Drooling......

OH, OH, I'm gonna pee myself, I just read this outloud, my hubby said..."oh bottle fed ducks don't thrive as well as breastfed ducks!"
