Super pretty! I love the colors!
Lots of ups and downs for me today. Lost a pekin hen (second one, looks like she starved to death, despite having ample food), lost a pekin baby in the egg (the one that pipped into the vein), didn't sleep a wink last night and had to leave the bed so I wouldn't keep G awake all night. Now I'm sore, my body feels tired (but surprisingly my mind is fairly clear, for once!), I have all four children here, I had to run around like a complete banshee getting packages packed and ready to be picked up... BUT, I now have four baby seramas (three more pipped) and one pekin duckling. Who knew staying at home could be so exhausting?!![]()
Hmmm worth a shot! Do roosters normally lose their fertility at a certain age? My head roo is getting up there...I wish I could blame the PO! But no..it's probably my roo, he's at least 3 but he's never been aggressive to us so he lives onHis boys are also very well behaved. I should just lock him up for a day and let the younger boys 'rule the roost' a short time lol.
Congrats!Horray! I candled last night and 10 out of 11 eggs are clearly growing! WOW. Who would expect that much fertility out of grocery store eggs?! Not me, that's for sure.
My rate was extremely depressing. Going to candle again tonight..
Thanks! that's my six year old looking in the bator when we set the one lonley egg the first day of the hatch along.(Good thing we went and got 12 more eggs... that lonley egg was not fertile.
