So I went, I candled (flashlighted really), & all I can say for certain is those maran eggs are tricky.

I'm going to lock them all down at noon & see what hatches (no smells at all from any)

I'm 80% sure I've got a couple blood rings, at least one infertile dud, & several quiters, but I'm not gonna bet the potential live chick on it!!

Next go-round I'll be more certain what I'm seeing even in dark eggs, but for now I'm not that confident in my egg squinting.

I saw movement in Egg "W" - The Love-child Egg, so now I will write the story & enter it in the short story contest :)

So these are the rabbit/guinea pig cages that I would be trying to convert into brooders...

As you can see, they are just sitting out there, collecting snow right now. It's a shame because I paid good money for them several years ago when we bred our Holland Lop and ended up keeping two of the babies... I'll be glad to have found a use for them! Looks like the kids and I have our weekend project!!!

Those will be totally perfect!!

This is the "brooder" I have Prim and her babies in right now. My DS brought it home from his uncle's place. It was used to put rabbits in the yard to graze. It has no bottom and half of the top lifts up.

It's about 6X6X2'
