4th Annual BYC NYD Hatch-a-long

Howdy doin everyone. I have been busy today and still am not done but while my dinner is cooking I'm going to put together voting for the best broody hen. How is everyone doing today. I have been hatching today and have one chick that is causing me worries as I have many that are pipping and zipping. My right side of the brain is telling me to let it figure it out, but the darn left side is saying get in there and help it. It can breathe and it pipped, zipped, popped its top. But won't uncurl. I added enough water, egg cartons appear wet and another one had pipped and zipped and popped out. In the past it's been my experience whenever I help one, the rest either die in the shell or I have to help the others. I have too many in there to help. So I'm still debating.
I skipped over a lot of pages.....No we still have not reached that number.

No pips yet on my eggs. Waiting waiting waiting. :)

RavenWood!
Wow, it's going to be a REALLY exciting day! I'm kind of glad mine are over with because the excitement would undoubtedly caused me to become more anxious, which isn't fun, LOL. But that's me! Excitement is good!
It was terribly exciting - I was squealing with glee - but now I'm worried. Trying to keep busy and let nature take it's course ...
Absolutely no change ... shouldn't it be trying to make it's little crack bigger by now? I've heard the occasional cheep, but I kinda thought it might be as excited to come out as I am for it to come out. That was quite a few hours ago and nothing is happening. Can it breathe without an actual hole? How long should it be before I get really concerned if nothing else has changed? I'll be heartbroken if my first chick dies after making it all the way to pipping stage
