I need to increase the mass in my incubator, as it looses temp as soon as I take my turner out. Not sure why.. Thought this would help a bit. So none pipped the wrong way or had trouble getting out?

I had this same problem, and gave up on my turner completely. The stupid thing killed 2 hatches of expensive turkeys before I figured out the temp spikes and dips were being caused by the motor of the turner being turned on, then turned off at the end.
What incubator do you have?
I have my temp on the incubator up to 103. My digital temp reader says 95 or something stupid like that. I only have two eggs in there right now.![]()
Can't open it at all, so I can't add mass now. It's lockdown. I put the heater right on beside the incubator to increase temp outside of it. The incubator is really affected by room temperature. I always have the room above 65, but it doesn't seem high enough![]()
I have a Hovabator too, and it works really well other than the last 3 days. Holds humidity perfectly. What incubator do you have?

I have a cheap Hovabator. It does a good job as long as I babysit it and hand-turn the eggs. I told my husband that I'd like a Brinsea for Xmas, but he's smarter than to do that.

The older one I borrowed keeps temperatures better than the Genesis 1588![]()
Broodies do what they want. You can attempt to "talk them into" going broody by leaving them some eggs & see if they decide to sit on them. Other than that, not much you can do. It's all up to the birds.I can only hatch with a broody hen so how do I get one to sit and how do I get hatching eggs
Okay, I don't mean to be dumb, but I also couldn't read through all those pages to see if I could figure it out, how do we enter the contests?? Or are the spreadsheets not quite up yet? ( I know we have plenty of time left, just want to be sure I know how to do it before it's crunch time,)
