4th day not eating drinking. Pullet. 21weeks. Silkie. HELP!

Oh nightowl you're back. No time to read I'm rushing out door with half brushed hair atm, but will look through your post when I return. Thank you!

No biggie. I'll be here (at least on and off, when I don't get distracted with other stuff) at least for a few more hours. That's just the way my internal clock works... I get to sleep around 6 or 7 AM and sleep about 4 or 5 hours, until my pain meds wear off, and then I am sometimes lucky enough to get a little more sleep during the day, but that's as rare as hen's teeth. I have chronic pain issues from a messed up SI joint, so even though I never was much of a day person, now I stay up while hubby sleeps, and sleep once he gets up. Him tossing and turning at any point generally would wake me up due to the pain (even with this expensive sleep number bed that's a step up from the regular bed), so I just started staying up. *shrug* Just my new normal after my injury. No sympathy required. Just explaining my weird sleep schedule, if you want to call it that, LOL!

I've raised some slow growth chickens its not an issue its genetic ..and if she's not eating have u give her some garlic water or ACV in water ? ..failure to thrive can cure with some petcare essential vitamins drops with amino acids daily 1-2 Drops and Hard Boiled Egg in Breakfast ..do not worry

I see no urgent messages from you, so I am led to believe Little is doing at least no worse than last report. :fl I will get some shut-eye, and wish you both luck for the overnight hours, @Greebo. :hugs I will check in again tomorrow! :frow

Edited to add:
I looked it up, and if you are in the time zone Perth is in (which I think I understood you are), you are 14 hours ahead of me, here. I'm at 6:10 AM here while you're (if I'm correct) you're already at 8:10 PM there. That's to let you know. Besides, I was curious, myself. BUT, with my sleeping pattern, I'm more like 22-23 hours behind you, sleep-wise. :lau

Anyway, again, have a great evening, the both of you!

Yes she's doing better - I got back and had to sort lots of 'human child' issues out as well as sort the animals so I've been caught up. I did check in and read the post from earlier but then rushed off to act on it - getting cat food and stuff from the shop before it shut. When I returned I got to cooking, made an omelette using the wee silkie eggs that Aleishia Loveheart had left the last 4 days (my 5yr old names the chickens) and threw in some diced tomato and bok choy, cayenne pepper, garlic, and tuna.

How cute are the eggs before I mixed them! So teeny haha
I observed Little foraging and pecking in the garden, I was stoked so decided to leave her out for the rest of the arvo. She was walking slowly, sedately, and when I threw treats down she didn't come into the fray, she's still being very timid etc so I distracted the mob with a pile and took some of the cat food and tuna up to her (saved the omelette for when she came inside -when I made her the first omelette from earlier in the day it only had the garlic, she did eat a bit of that and I gave the rest to the others).
She ate a bit of everything today,:yesss: it was awesome. I spent some time watching her in the garden and before I knew it, I had to organise kids and dogs and cats and chooks and rabbits/guinea pig, for their evening routines and/or meals. Yesterday everyone got the raw deal coz Little wasn't eating and I put her and the internet first lol, so tonight I had to make it up to all with my attention
Sorry to have missed you before you needed to head to sleep though. And sorry to hear about your pain and injury. Hope I am a sort of 'good jinx' and when you are reading this in the morning you are well rested once again! :fl
I have honey straight from the local bee farmer so that will work well. I do use ACV, organic and not pasteurised or anything, but I didn't know about letting it breathe. I took the lid off when I saw what you'd written, and every time I walk past it my auto pilot OCD has me reaching to put the lid back on. I lost count how many times I've had to stop and tell myself off for trying to screw it back on
For now at least Little seems to be doing better. Though there still wasn't enough in her crop at bedtime to satisfy me, esp when she used to be like her siblings and have like a tennis ball packed in there, and she's still too lack lustre for my liking, but I am feeling a bit less stressed about her and am hopeful she will improve more tomorrow.
Thank you so much @nightowl223 for all your help and support. I'm very grateful for the time you spent nutting this out and talking through it with me. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and reading through everything, for being both medically helpful and offering a sympathetic ear, I really appreciate it, and so does my family - Little is a cherished lil girl. Thank you! :hugs:clap

Can you post a pic of her poop? (Sorry to jump in here, but she's right at point of lay which could be indicative of entirely other issues.)

I'm a bit concerned about that, too. One of the first poop reports was one with a bit of yellow. The problem may have to do with internal laying, but it's a bit early to decide that is what's going on. I sincerely hope not, because that is a serious issue.

@nightowl223 Sorry to learn your having to deal with chronic pain, reason you're a "night owl".

Thank you. It's just part of my new normal. I get angry and tired sometimes that I can't do the things I used to do, but none of that actually changes reality. :idunno At least I can use my time to help people in other ways. :)
