4th of July hatch along!

Put 36 eggs in my incubator tonight.

The Roos are a Polish, and A Naked neck Turken Black Jersey Giant.

The hens are Orpington, Black Jersey Giant, polish, Old English, Easter egged, a black and white spotted one I forgot the name of and a Banty the same color...

I did 18 large eggs and 18 of the smaller eggs..

Should be an interesting run...

Got a broody sitting on 8 eggs! We shall see how it goes this is my first broody
Last march I bought three buff orpingtons. I read that they have strong brooding tendencies - my plymouth barred rocks, black star, and rhode island reds don't seem to have a broody feather on them. What type of bird is setting on the eight eggs?

I think that I have gone completely crazy over here! :gig I gave my insistent broody hen 5 egg's from my naked neck flock to sit on. Then I added 6 more of those to my incubator. Then my 16 silkie egg's shipped from Magnolia Silkies joined the other one's in my incubator. The boody's egg's should hatch on the 24th of this month. The other egg's from my flock in the incubator should hatch on July 1st. The silkie egg's hatching will be my July 4th firecracker babies!

I’ve got a Houdan stilling right now. She’s good too she goes out and eats and drinks and no one is messing with her, in fact some of the girls were giving her eggs. She pushed out 3 and I think it’s just cause she had too many. 8 seems just perfect for her

I have 9 eggs under a first time broody, my little white D’Uccle, set to hatch on the fourth! She’s doing great however, she is lower in the pecking order and not super fierce. The other girls kept sitting on her face to lay eggs. We moved her to a broody coop last night but, this morning she was not happy! I don’t know how long she was off of her eggs pacing so I hope they’re ok. We left to run some errands and when we came back she was back on them.
This is my first time too, I’m trying not to mess with her. Hoping for the best!!!

I have shipped eggs under a first time broody as well. Fingers crossed for us! I'm going to be taking back a few once my incubator is free, I have some eggs from her hatching in them now.
