4x8 coop

I'm expecting 8 chicks May 19ish and building my first coop! Aside from building a couple of work tables, I don't have building experience, so I'm terribly proud of my progress lol. It's a raised, 4x8 coop. I drew up the plans from researching others.

First I leveled some old chunks of concrete.

I have two walls framed! There will be two big doors on the front. A chicken door and vent on this side, an external nesting box and vent on the other, and a big window across the back side (facing east).
I'll post more as I go. I think it's supposed to get cold and rainy, so I may be delayed.

why the 2 doors in the front. And you building supervisor looks adorable.

I thought 2 doors would be easy access for cleaning/tending (without climbing in). Thanks

Thats what i figured mine looks like yours.Except i only have one door in the middle and 2 small windows on both sides. But mines only 6 ft long.

Not sure where you are located, but if you have warm (hot) summers you might want to have windows situated for cross ventilation. Looking good
