Awesome coop and awesome idea on the floor protector! I just used linoleum. I'm thinking about changing the bedding to sand and that would probably work better than what I've got.

Positive on the lip at the door - keeps bedding from falling out every time you open the door.
I would like a hinged lip. Up until you want to clean the coop.

But, we all dream up great ideas AFTER we built our coops.

Yes, the first coop I built had my nestboxes higher than the roost and they all slept in them. Ughhhh big mistake

Added the sealed piece of plywood and metal to the roof.

Looking good. My temporary coop is 4x8 but is not as tall. Wish it was taller hard to get around in there.
