4yr old hen growing spurs

Lol! I can't believe mine hasn't started to crow yet. She's my domanatd hen. I thought that's why she was rooster like .
Mine doesn't do it all day -- just a soft gurgle crow right when the sun comes up over the trees. She has started doing the little crow as her "egg song" now too.

If you're awake early, so stand near your coop as the sun comes up -- she might be crowing, and you just haven't heard it yet. It's hilarious!

I'll definitely have to do that next time I'm up that early, I bet it is hilarious!! Silly chickens :lau:pop

I could hear my crowing hen from the house, duets with the flock cock.
At first I thought I'd missed a cockerel in the young bunch.
She did a full on Cock-A-Doo!! Very clear.
Took me more than a few dashes down to the coop to catch just who was doing it.
She never danced or mounted,
but I did see her alarm and assist the cock in herding the flock.
She didn't grow spurs but she was stew before 3 yo.

Oh mine mounts and dances, treat calling. I'm just waiting for the crowing now  I swear it's crazy hearing all these stories now, I honestly thought I had a very rare unique hen
