This is a bird that was, by in large, considered a cockrel a while back. What do y'all think now? Bird had large comb early. Still not much pink. Darker back than other wellies. Bigger than other two. But still Salmon chest.

I'm thinking might be a pull out pullet!

The back of this bird is also just all together darker than the other two. In fact, he's just a darker bird all the way around. I look at this one and I say, "Yeah, that's a pullet, just with a larger comb than many", but then I look at the other two and go... "NOPE... THOSE two are pullets."

I'll try to get some decent pics of the other two tonight. Will use the wife's phone in an attempt to get some better pics.

The comb on subject bird is definitely large. Good news is, it's not developing any real red / pink color. I guess at 5.5 weeks that's a good sign.

Also... at 5.5 weeks, would you definitely be seeing black coming in on chest if it was a cockerel?

She is definitely a pullet. As for a larger comb, are you sure it's a Welsummer and not a brown Leghorn?

Looks like a pullet to me. You should post a comparison photo with the others so we can see what you mean, but definitely a pullet.

Yeah... I'll try to get some good pics this evening. They are some pretty uncooperative little boogers. I'll also use wife's phone, which takes better shots.
