We have a 5 acre parcel that used to be part of a large farm. When considering becoming a chicken mama myself, I called the town and spoke with the code enforcement officer. They said if my property was zoned AR (agricultural residential) then it was ok to keep chickens. When I asked how many could have- they had no idea. So the way I see it, that gives me free license to have however many I want! From what I see on this site- once you start your flock it keeps growing and growing and growing...
