No really, there is a small bullseye in the yolk that lets you know it's fertile. Somewhere on here someone posted pics of one!

Oh yea I knew you weren't kidding! I do remember seeing pics of it now that I think about it. As I go running to the fridge to see if the RIR eggs I have in the fridge from another backyard flock lol. I remember looking at eggs once but I had no clue what I was supposed to be looking for so it did me no good...

It must be chicken peer pressure....

First hen... "Hey! I'm gonna lay my first egg today".
Second hen.... "nah... I'm too cold".

Third hen... "Sounds great! I will too!"
Second hen again... "But it is too cold out!"

Forth hen.... "Gee, I was thinking the same thing - you talked me into it!"
Second hen again... "You guys aren't listening to me... it is COLD outside!!"

Fifth hen... "Well, if four of you are going to lay, I sure don't want to be laying all by myself another day, so count me in!"

Second hen one last time "OKAY! okay! GEESH! The peer pressure is soooo tough in this coop!"
