One of my Rhode Island Red babies has a distinct sour smell to her. I noticed it yesterday when I was holding her, she was taking a nap on my chest and I kept wondering what that funky smell was! The others don't smell like that. She's eating and drinking and her poops look normal. I know parrots can get sour crop, can chickens get it too? You can give parrots apple cider vinegar in the drinking water to help with crop problems, do you think that would help? This is my first time raising baby chicks, I'm concerned about this little girl. She's so sweet, what can I do for her?

It may be sour crop, chickens can get it, too. Try massaging her crop, and search on here for what to do...I've never had it, but a smell like that could very well mean sour crop.
