What is it and is it treatable?
The vent area is swollen and the chick seems to not be able to poop.
The vent is clean but looks weird.

Is it protruding vent or vent gleet, and most of all, how can I help the chick?

The other one of this kind (it is a bantam Cochin or bantam Dominique) died last night.

Thank you for your help.

Does it have normal poops or just liquid coming out?

You can feed it small pieces of chilled coconut oil and a bit of sand.

What exactly are you feeding and what is the temperature in the brooder?

They are getting medicated starter feed MannaPro, dry and mixed with water, and got a little bit of egg yolk yesterday.
Temperature was 95-100, I decreased it now.
The chicks tried to peck the area, it seems to be bothering it.

Other chicks (different breeds but all bantams) seem ok but some have a little bit of pasty butt.

Do I apply Vaseline or just leave the chick alone?

Can you separate it inside the brooder so they can still see each other but the others will not be able to peck its butt?

Thank you for the pointers!

The chick is doing well, I guess it was constipated
I suspect it was too hot in the brooder, I keep the temp lower now and expanded the brooder to give them more space.
