5 day old chicken limping, pooping clear and now dropping wing

You can try irrigating the eye with saline eye wash or drops. Is there any drainage, bubbles, or crust on the eye? Terramycin eye ointment or Vetericyn eye gel are found in most feed stores and can be good to apply to an eye that has been pecked, or that may be infected. I have used plain Neosporin ointment in a pinch. She might have been pecked by another chick since she isn’t moving around much. I would try making her a chicken sling, like the ones in my link in post 3, so that she could sit in front of her food and water.

Reporting back. I am going to make a chicken chair for her to sit in front of her food and water.
The eye has not crust, not bubbles, no drainage. I did irrigate it with Saline solution a minute ago.
After the chicken chair I'm going to stop messing with her for awhile. She seems so traumatized each time I take her out to feed her or look a here.
She still just stands there, kinda wobbling, and every once in awhile perks up.
Ugh........

Update for the night:
I have some hope. Feathers is very animated, picking at her feathers, scratching, moving around. This, after a long day of tender care giving her vitamins and Nutri-Drench.

Her right eye is still shut, and she is still not as active as the others, but she has perked up from what she was.

Here poop was not good though, white to clear - almost watery, again, like yesterday. I tried to get a picture but it went straight into the bedding. Although she did poop ok last night. Wondering if this was because of all the vitamins and Nutri-Drench?

I just read about CRD caused by Mycoplasma gallisepticum (MG) is a bacteria. I wonder if it could be this since she has this eye thing and clear poop. Praying its not something like this that is infecting my 14 other very healthy 7 day old chicks.

Will update on progress tomorrow.

Mycoplasma is something that came to my mind as well, but symptoms seem a bit early. Did the chick come from a hatchery, feed store, breeder, or did you hatch it from your or someone’s egg? Let’s hope it is just a dry or irritated eye.
