# 5 leg band

Hello I have some # 5 size leg bands would like to know if they will work on Coturnix quail If not what size do I need would like to have them with numbers on them

I'm not sure but wynola ranch sells quail leg bands to maybe give you a reference

I use 6mm leg bands but with larger birds they may become a bit too tight. You could try to use size #5, but keep a close eye, especially if the birds are still growing, I'm afraid they are too small, tho. If you are planning to buy new leg bands I suggest you to get them with a diameter of 6 or 7mm, depending on how large your birds grow.

I use this type of leg bands for all hatchlings and my Quail. They are made of rubber and very safe and easy to use. They aren't numbered but come in many different colors and sizes. They are only made for hatchlings and smaller birds but work great for me safest bands I have worked with.

 

[Birds and Buns]

I use zip ties for leg bands. That way, I don’t have to worry about size. They sell colored zip ties, also.
