I just got this through my e-mail. Thought I would share it with all the chocolate lovers out there. I haven't made it yet, will try it tonight and let you know if any changes need to be made. If anyone has tried it let me know.

5 MINUTE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE

How easy and a small amount instead of a whole cake -- add nuts too
You can put the chocolate chips just in the center and have a filling!
yummy
or put them on top for a gooey icing.

4 tablespoons cake flour
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons baking cocoa
1 egg
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional)
a small splash of vanilla essence
1 coffee mug

Put dry ingredients in mug mix well
Add the egg and mix thoroughly.
Pour in the milk and oil and mix well.
Add the chocolate chips (if using) and vanilla essence, and mix
again.
(you can also do all the above in a bowl and then pour it in your
mug)

Microwave for 3 minutes at 1000 watts. The cake
will rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed!

Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired.

EAT!

Note: This can serve 2 if you want to feel slightly more virtuous.

And why is this the most dangerous cake recipe in the world?
Because now we are all only 5 minutes away from chocolate
cake at any time of the day or night!

Wow... I'm gonna try that! It's one of my favorite things.

Can you vary the flavor by substituting something else for the chocolate? Not sure how you would do that....

Oh, and I'm going to substitute Xylitol for the sugar!!!

hee heee heee. I'm waiting for mine to cool right now.

First, I didn't have cake flour, so I substituted regular.

I also cut down the oil by 1 T and added a dash of salt.

When it came out of the microwave, I decided it was too big to eat by myself, so I dumped it out onto a plate and cut it in half, THEN I sprinkled the chocolate chips on it.

Ok, tasting it. . .

Not bad! It is a little rubbery - might have needed that extra T of oil, but the flavor still needs more salt, I'd say. In all, it's a nice quick treat for those times when you just HAVE to have chocolate!

Thanks for sharing
