5 months D’uccle Coccidia or Marek ? Please help

Yes...mites and or lice are a major problem.
Get some permethrin spray immediately.
I already treated her with Permethrin. I checked her pen mates and they all have it. So they are treated immediately as well and I’m cleaning their pen as we speak. Yikes I feel so bad that I didn’t see this immediately.

Oh yes, I must put on my glasses. I also would recommend permethrin. I get permethrin 10 by Martins or Gordons, and add water to mix in a spray bottle. You can also find the ready to use spray and garden dust in feed stores. Identifying whether it is lice or mites will be good. Lice should be treated every 10 days, and mites are treated every 7 days at least twice, and bedding must be changed along with treating the coop.
I bought it already and treated her. I bought the concentrated solution and diluted it.
Unfortunately I’m not knowledgeable enough to identify the beasts. Once sprayed when do I have to do it again?

Here is how lice can appear:

Mites and their eggs

This is a good picture of lice eggs at the base of feathers:

If you can identify whether it is lice by the pressence of the white to grey eggs at the base of feathers, or mites, repeat at 10 days for lice and at 7 days for mites. Then check again at same intervals to see if there are signs. Mites can suck blood and cause anemai while lice chew on the skin and are more of a bother.

I read it and I think it might be the foul mites or the poultry louse. I will read it again later after I’m done cleaning both coops. She is referring to

Now that I took a closer look at her and the pics I’m 90% sure that is mites. I had a towel under her and this is what was on the towel.

Poor thing it’s covered with them. The more I look at the images and her little body the more I scratch. 🤢 Thank you so much for the help.

How long does it take for them to be gone?

The permethrin should work rather quickly. That is a heavy infestation. Poor thing should hopefully feel better. Do you see any of the lice eggs at the base of the feathers on her or the others?

I couldn’t see her like that so I gave her a bath with a little dawn and epsom salt, dried her really well and sprayed her again really good. I took some pics of the towel underneath and the base of her skin and between the feathers. I feel horrible for not detecting this earlier. Ugh
