Cockerel to me
Well, she won’t be thrilled to hear these responses. 😆

Either way, I’m going to keep it until we know for sure—her 5 month old buff Silkie suddenly died today, so she’s definitely not ready to rehome Cutie this weekend. Her two 18 month old Silkies would be all she had left (Silkie-wise), if we rehome Cutie since Sunny just died. 🥺 Silkies are her favorite breed.
I just wish they were sex-linked! :barnie

Forgot to update this!
Cutie is a laying pullet! She started squatting when I walked by her around 6.5 months old and began laying soon after that. She’s been laying consistently through winter along with her showgirl pals. She’s even briefly gone broody like a good Silkie. 😆
She’s now almost 9 months old. Here are a few photos from this morning.

Before reading the full post I was going to go with Pullet. Only because I grew out a couple frizzle silkies last year. They are so much harder to sex than normal silkies. Mine both turned out to be pullets as well but they took their sweet time.
