I spare chickens with my mother in law . See has a 5 to 6 week old chick living inside still. I don't think this is right or any good for the chick . Is it time to put the chick outside veiw please

Paddy: [IMG] and, this response is a little late it seems, but depending on the weather, it it perfectly acceptable to move them outside at that age. As long as they have a secure, predator proof place, away from older hens that they can stay, they will be fine.

Welcome to BYC![IMG] As long as it's warm enough and the chick has some feathers it should be okay. If it's chilly out still you may need a heat lamp (in or outdoors).

Lordy lol I often misspell words when typing. I'm not the best typer and I don't proof read before hitting submit! It doesn't help that often I have a cat in my lap supporting my iPad and a dog on one side trying to sniff the cat and they are both jiggling the iPad.
