I purchased a chicken today that was sold as an Easter Egger. It’s Black with green sheen, Rumpless, has 5 toes on each foot, has a thick muff and has a strange comb that looks like a teardrop.
They said they ordered it from Meyer but also said at one point they had almost 60 birds (with roosters) and they roost in the trees.
The hen in question is 8 months old but we don’t know the egg color because they had so many birds and no dedicated hen house.
It almost looks like a black faverolle mixed with Arauca???

Is there any chance it had a normal tail and the feathers got plucked out, rather than being rumpless? (I can't tell whether someone has held it and examined it closely, or is just seeing it at a distance.)

I think rumplessness can show up on occasion among flocks of normal chickens-- either a new mutation or a recessive gene.

It could easily be a mix of some sort. I've noticed quite a few hatcheries are selling special mixes this past few years.

For example,
https://www.meyerhatchery.com/Green-Queen-Day-Old-Chicks-p212562069
"They will come in a wide range of colors, most are bearded, some will have feathered legs, and some even have 5 toes"
(Obviously that is some kind of mix, that is producing chicks with a variety of traits.)

And I remember seeing at least one hatchery offering "Favaucana" chicks, a cross of Faverolles and Ameraucanas, so it certainly could be that.

Pics added. I did ask about the tail feathers being ripped out and the person I bought these from said it never grew tail feathers. So this bird has never had tail feathers. It was hatched in January from Meyer. Hopefully I’ll get an egg today or tomorrow.

I did verify this bird has never had tail feathers. It was hatched in January.
