5 week old Deathlayer, cockerel?

Thank you ShannonsChimkens that has been my fear since it was a few days old. It’s always had a prominent comb. The one thing I noticed is that mine seems more feathered than yours, especially the gold on the head and neck. Any reason for that?

Not sure exactly. Maybe he was 4 1/2 weeks in that photo... hatched Oct 31st on the Halloween HAL, photo was taken 12/05. So just shy of 5 weeks then.

I went for broke and got 2 from greenfire farms. Both where crowing at each other this morning. Hatched march 17 2021

2 cockerels and 1 not so vibrantly combed pullet. These are about 7 or 8 weeks old in the photo. They are now almost a year old

I would like to find out the sex of this 5 week-old Deathlayer. I’m afraid it’s a he.

My golden Deathlayers are 3 weeks and one of them has, what looks like, a tiny feather howhawk. Thinking that's the only boy. The all black one is my mixed breed that I hatched here. The Death layers are all the others.
