Yep yep, your Bluebell is a boy. The red on the shoulders and the red comb at an early age give him away.
As a general rule, I've found that the birds who are the most outgoing and friendly as chicks usually turn into boys. Hen's don't generally get cuddly until they get into laying eggs. That's how everyone's 'favorite' chicks turns out to be male.
Oh no. No doubt in my mind. Bluebell is a boy. That comb is way too red. My 10.5 week old EE's have less red than that. My boy didn't even have a comb that red at 5 weeks.
