5 week old pekin quickly fading

That is great to hear. And I’m so glad you took the time to figure it out and write back with the results. I bet the duckling is relieved! Poor guy I bet twitching all the time was exhausting for him.

So just a recap for me so it will sink in my brain better...... you were feeding the ducklings chicken feed and supplementing with poultry vitamins to no effect? But when you put straight niacin in their water, you saw a drastic improvement? Immediately? Within a day? :D

This is what the OP wrote:

We started him out on chick starter for the first 4 weeks and it was medicated. This last week and a half days been on meat bird food. But we made sure to mix the food at first so they wouldn't have any kind of strange diarrhea from going from one food to the other. We have also been giving them minnows and scrambled duck eggs, peas, and squash. I also have gotten some crickets and superworms for them as treats.

Imbalance in all dietary needs and the medicated feed..
I raised my pekins and muscovies on chicken layer pellets my male jumbo Pekin loves them since he was a baby lol they all lay eggs everyday and are healthy as can be Drake doesn't lay lol

Lost a Pekin female at 1 year from niacin deficiency she fought for a month couldn't walk or anything then had seizure and died

Yes that is so sad I’m sorry you lost her. I love my Pekin. She so squishy and comes running anytime there is food.:hugs

I wouldn't call it drastic... but gradual. He still isn't normal, but much better than this weekend.
