5 weeks old chicks....and some hybrids too!

You have three girls (The black ones with red)Dpotted ones area males.
Oh geez....I hope not 7 roosters :( I think at least one of them is a barred rock rooster, but seven? noooo......

Well, here the picture of our Rooster, along with our Plymouth Rock hens. We're pretty convinced he's a Red Ranger...or maybe he's a Rhode Island Red? We kind of adopted him....he wandered over to our property from next door....he was about 3 weeks old then. We've had him for a year now. We have a total of 10 chicks. The picture of the chicks in the earlier picture are when they were settled in for the night...they were on top of each other, so there's a total of 10.

I agree, the black ones are hens and the barred ones are roosters.
Any barred hen x non barred rooster results in sexlinked chicks.

Glad this seems to be resolved. It really wasn’t making sense to me that you had 9 sex links and one that somehow wasn’t (the “barred female”).

Yep, me too. Can't keep all those lil' roosters. We'll definitely keep the hens, keep two cockerels, and re-home the others. Otherwise, we'll have too many school yard fights!
