You have such pretty chickens!!! And I LOVE Brewster! I would love to have a rooster but my mom said no.

He would just be eating up feed cause we dont have room for a lot of chickens so we wouldnt really use him for breeding. Anyway he is soooo pretty!!!

I don't think I've ever had a problem with my Polish, except for her getting scared by her own crest hanging in front of her face.

Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately ) Meyer is sold out of Polish pullets for the date I'm picking my girls up, or else there may have probably definitely perhaps maybe been one added to my order.

Upon gathering eggs today I found

26. an odd egg

And when I say odd, I really mean...



...ODD! This egg is the second egg laid by my year-old bantam cochin hen, Boots... She has laid only once before in June, 9 months ago! The egg was the same size.

She is my baby, but she is the worst layer ever! Oh well, she is so sweet, I don't even care if she lays like this all the time!

I have a bantam that lays very small eggs like that.. And she is same size as my 2 others, but her eggs are much smaller..

All of my sexlinks are like that. No noise going in, no noise coming out. They've got serious business to do, I always say.

This is AMAZING, one if the best threads i have read and probably the only thread that i have read all the way through, that's how good it is.
You have done a marvelous job so far, wish I could do the same but i don't think my camera would cut it.lol.
Cant wait to see some more soon!
One day you should do a joint one, where every one can add to it but make the list even longer and put it over the 4 seasons.
