5th Annual BYC New Year's Day 2014 Hatch-A-Long

Georgia weather SUCKS! It's 70 something degrees outside and pouring down rain. Ugh! My silkie who went broody exactly a week after I set my bator just tried to kill me when I went to get her water. She's so crabby! My silkie who hatched her babies on Thanksgiving is now in an empty rabbit hutch and seems to think I'm gonna steal the chicks when I come out to feed them. My chickens have gone insane!

oh my gosh! hahaha


Christmas is n 3 days..... todays the first day of winter.... here in north Carolina its hot and sunny, a 78 degree weather day. earlier my bator went bonkers because the heat outside was so high! it said 103 degrease and I had to take the lid off for some time! hahahah

Today is day 16 for us and I will have dd mark some more air cells. Lockdown is Tuesday!!!

My EE always tries to kill me. She explodes out of the coop every time I open the door. Psycho chicken. She's lucky she's inept at it.

Well, after my morning, I can only hope my luck improves.

I made myself some breakfast burritos, picked up my fork, and sat down at the table to eat them. Noticed that some of the refried bean mixture was on the fork and went to lick it off...only to discover that a) my fork was still on the counter and b) the teenage nephew had opened up a can of cat food for the critters and left the fork sitting on the counter where mine was.

Ugh. Ack. Pthewie. Not enough hot sauce in the world to get rid of the lingering flavor of tuna "surprise".

Makes me glad my cat and dogs are on raw food diet. Not a tin of cat or dog food in the house.
