I need to find someone that can help me build a bigger coop! This is addictive and I want to do more of it!

The only thing that is inhibiting me is the size of my housing for them.

I am actuaiy building a coop based on another BYC'rs coop....I found it on the coop page. my new silkies would LOVE it! the coop is actuaily in the roof! ill post a pic of it for you and give the creator credit!


its about 7 feet long, the coop all in the roof which is convenient and saves room.

If my psychochicken were broody, she would have an excuse for her attitude.  She isn't - has yet to even lay her first egg.  She is just an EE, and apparently they tend toward "character."

I will take our sunshine and 35 degree weather here.  Although, if anyone would like some mud from the latest snow melt, you're welcome to it. 

No thanks got my own mud and lakes and rivers running through my yard. Can hardly wait for tomorrow when the temps drop 30* and all the rain freezes, just in time for holiday travel yeah

I built my 12x8 coop and a 4x8 coop this year. They aint nothing fancy. Just a slant roof shed style. Next year I think I will do some hoop coops they seem easy and I know where I can get some tin to line the coop part of the hoop.

hush with that freezeing crap I'm done with it let it keep raining and making lakes maybe i'll get ducks earlier or my chickens will evolve into a chucken.

Could be worse, here I'm Ohio it's been between 37 and 50 or so * and raining for 2 1/2 days with about 4 inches of snow melt

I'm sure. The husband is in East Debuke (sp?) Illinois and just told me to quit griping about the weather here. He's got snow about 6-8" deep.
