5th Annual BYC New Year's Day 2014 Hatch-A-Long

is it just me or does any1 else have gifts under tree for chickens, dogs, cats (pets)? got my chickens a hanging planter for run to fill with treat flowers in spring

trust me.....we have probably 15 extra stockings for our pets. I got my chickens meal worms......their surprise is coming on new years....I don't think they'll like them though!!! hahahah

You and me both! HOW does this happen? Three months ago I hated birds, bird poop, bird noises, ANYTHING bird!!!

And now when I am driving out of fast food places I have to throw fries and bun pieces out to the birds that live in the parking lots. Because the poor things are STARVING!!! :idunno

Is this an OLD thing? Because if I am only 41 and this is going on, what happens when I am 60 or 70?

I'm 32 and my kid are already calling me the chicken lady of crazy town. I'm wondering if it'll be worse in 20 years!

anyone know who sells isbar eggs?

I NEED some to add to my flock! these birds are just gorgeous!

if any of you have isbars....please post a picture of your gorgeous birds!

No not an old thing. I have Hens singing the egg song right now and it really makes me smile!

Here's the inside of my new chick brooder we made with everything in it!!!

Wish we had one like that inside. Currently we use a rubbermaid tub inside with a screen on top. Then at 2 weeks of age we move them to their huge outdoor brooder. First pic is when they are inside during winter hatches, before two weeks of age. Then Second is winter brooder for when they reach 2 weeks of age until 8 weeks old, then we open the door and let them in the yard. In the summer, the second pic is where they brood at from fluff on to 4 weeks of age. At that time we open the door and let them out.
