I lost an F2 OE tonight. Got home to find her half dead and had to cull her. Sucks.

I need to find someone that can help me build a bigger coop! This is addictive and I want to do more of it!   The only thing that is inhibiting me is the size of my housing for them. :/  

I am actuaiy building a coop based on another BYC'rs coop....I found it on the coop page. my new silkies would LOVE it! the coop is actuaily in the roof! ill post a pic of it for you and give the creator credit!


its about 7 feet long, the coop all in the roof which is convenient and saves room.

Which coop is it? Is it shaped like an elongated pyramid? With the run under the coop?

How are things going with you roostereggs? Looks like mine are coming a little early!!

We are doing quite well. TOO well! I was eggspecting another flock of 8-12...but 21/21 shipped eggs are growing, and so are 11/12 of my own barnyard mix. I culled one, unfertile. So now my roo is only 99% fertile. Slacker!

I feel like I am pregnant...ya know how at the end you are tired of being preggo, yet you need just a little more time to nest and make sure everything is ready? And kinda scared all at the same time? Yep, that's me!

If I could get off the darn computer, maybe I could finish getting my brooder ready.

Lmao. I read this fast and i though i saw "how are things going with your rooster eggs?"
I was going to ask how you get eggs from a rooster? Or do you plan on all your chicks to be roos?

I have a co-worker who has the most darling little toddler. She has a video of her trying to say Easter Eggs...but she kept saying 'Wooster eggs'...I will see if I can get her permission to post the video on here the next time I talk to her. She put it on FB and I swear I have watched it a couple dozen times and I

every time I see it!

So when I was trying to come up with my user name, the only thing that kept going thru my head was that sweet little voice! I didn't know one thing about chickens at the time...so that is how it came about.

oh my goodness! that is just too cute! I came up with mine bc I hav my first ever bantam, my Japanese bantam named CADBURY!

I linked together bantam and bury (from part of Cadbury) and got BANTAMBURY. LOL
