by the way GQF ships with lots of extras and packages the eggs pretty well. i got 38 eggs so thats 8 extra. 1 or 2 of the eggs had decent cracks in them but and i had to really really look for cracks on the other eggs to find anything they werent really visible. out of 38 eggs, 34 arrived safely. i hope i get a good hatch rate. do you guys recommend using dry incubation?? i think im gonna try that what are your thoughts on it??

good morning everybody merry christmas!!!!!!!! i got the hovabator genesis 1588 as a gift last night and had it running for maybe 10 hours and i just put the bobwhite quail eggs that came with it in it and 4 of my chicken eggs. hope my first hatch goes well!!

This is what I came up with last spring I had limited material and space, These are 4ft x2ft x 1ft . I cut the wire as you can see ,for the feeders. This way the quail knocked less feed out.. I screwed them on made it cleaner feed wise and less waste.This yr i have no quail .. but i have cleaned them up and modified them for chicks,using this same method with feeders on the outside ....just an idea... Peace...
