Oh my goodness Blarney! Please have your DH speak with mine! We are constantly fighting over the heat. 65 or lower is what he wants, I want 70.

That is why we keep ours set at 68!

This group of babies has stolen my heart… I think they are the perfect starter flock too, BCMarans cockerel, 2 BCM pullets, an EE Pullet, and 2 Bantam Cochin Pullets. They were raised up by my best girl, and faithful broody, 'Popcorn', she taught them to run to me across the yard and call to me if I pass a window inside.

Popcorn rocks! Wish I had one like her! Great looking mix of babies Blarney.

I have lavender orpingtons hatching now. Yippee! I decided to go with bantam wyandotte hatching eggs for the new years hatch-a-long. My first bantams and wyandottes. I could get silver laced, chocolates or blue laced reds. I'm excited

They're being shipped so I hope they make it okay. That makes me nervous. But here's a lavender orp chick! I can post a pic later when they fluff up too.

I still haven't gotten any eggs... At least 15 of my hens are at prime laying age, but I haven't seen a single egg in 2 weeks.

I just treated everyone with Frontline Plus to kill any lice or mites, so hopefully that'll help. I'm also going to start adding vitamins to their water.

We're in the process of building a new coop, so until it's finished, my girls are stuck with the little light that the sun gives them.


Butterscotch call ducks, black cochin bantams, and silver laced cochin bantams, please lay me some eggs.

I bought eggs from that guy on ebay before the suppose to hatch on October 31. And they didn't so I open them up and they had no development at all just a egg II let him know and he blame it on my incubation skills I let know I had the brinsea mini advance and hatch many eggs with it and never had a problem and hatch after and still with out a problem I thought you should know

Good Morning everyone. I know its not egg hatching related but thought I would share. Today is my Thanksgiving and I am up prepping for our dinner. My Family always celebrates a day early to make sure our family is all together and Thursday is for us all to go to our in-laws houses. Today we are feeding a family or 19 and on the menu is a 37lb whopper I raised myself.







I may post pics after it is done cooking.
