Add me into the list for the hatch along. Don't know what I am setting yet so I better start finding some eggs. I am shooting for 60 eggs this year.

Have you found 60 yet? I can send some surprise but purebred eggs if you want for just cost of shipping. The element of surprise makes it fun at hatching time! Let me know if you want some.

OH good idea! Mystery eggs sound fun.


If I had more than 4 chickens laying eggs I suggest to do a mystery egg swap with someone.

Man, you must have a looot of chickens!   Start picking mine up around the 6 th..fresh fertile eggs..lol..sounds like you have enough to do that...get me some real pretty olive eggs if ya can..     Picky me..I'll take what you have, lots of blues, and green though.   But, I will take what you get ....  but, again, I would really like some olive green ones, and some blue ones, but, really, what ever they are laying at the time..that's how it works anyway..but, I really would like some blues and some greens..and...LOL...just messin with ya.   I'm sure they will be great what ever you send. 

All of my roos are blue & green carriers. That means most of the babies will be blue/green/olive layers or carriers in the case of the roos.

Anconas. After TONS of research into different breeds I decided those are most likely to be the best fit for our homestead. Plus my daughter and I really love the random spots.

We are getting close to when we start collecting and storing our hatching eggs. When is everyone starting to collect from their own flocks? I am going to start collecting this coming Mon since I only have 1 Marans to collect from.
