5th Annual BYC New Year's Day 2014 Hatch-A-Long

OK I need some help with making sure that my eggs will be okay to hatch.

This egg seemed very porous and I don't want it to affect my soon, hopefully babies. The egg is from my SLW.

Here is a better picture of one.

My question is is this bad and if so what do I do about it because I don't want to have to order any eggs?
These do look porous. But I had 4 just like them in my first hatch and now have 4 cute RIR/BA chicks running around from them. So they will probably be fine for you to hatch.

38 eggs set today
That's a lot of eggs!

Yayy!! Just recieved the last of my eggs frim my breeder today!!!

Butts of the egg facing up...right?

Also, out of the 21 eggs recieved...only 4 broken!!! Awesome!!!

Oooo. Thanks for the pic! I'm saving it to my computer for future reference. I'll be hatching more ducks again after this hatch. Maybe this pic as reference will help me not obsess quite so much over whether the air cells look right.

sniff. Mail came. No eggs. This means they will arrive in the middle of the day when I am at work, and be set on my porch to freeze in this extreme cold spell we are having.

worry worry worry

The ones tooo early for the hatch. They are Cochin bantams and 5 hatched yesterday, 6 today...I will be adding my standard size chicken eggs by the 11th for the hatch-a-long! Just had to show off my new babies!!!!

That sucks. Personally I would always have eggs sent hold for pickup to avoid this. Plus the less car travel the better.

I hope they're fine.
