These do look porous. But I had 4 just like them in my first hatch and now have 4 cute RIR/BA chicks running around from them. So they will probably be fine for you to hatch.OK I need some help with making sure that my eggs will be okay to hatch.
This egg seemed very porous and I don't want it to affect my soon, hopefully babies. The egg is from my SLW.
Here is a better picture of one.
My question is is this bad and if so what do I do about it because I don't want to have to order any eggs?
That's a lot of eggs!

Oooo. Thanks for the pic! I'm saving it to my computer for future reference. I'll be hatching more ducks again after this hatch. Maybe this pic as reference will help me not obsess quite so much over whether the air cells look right. You can candle any time you want to!

he let them sit in his garage and I came to pick them up....I think some just broke from them being laid.... I didn't receive them through mail...he doesn't ship.....right down the street from me!!! haha! How were they packed?
It is a chilly 28F here, the chickens are saying it is better to stay in bed. I have to agree.![]()
That sucks. Personally I would always have eggs sent hold for pickup to avoid this. Plus the less car travel the better.sniff. Mail came. No eggs. This means they will arrive in the middle of the day when I am at work, and be set on my porch to freeze in this extreme cold spell we are having.
